The Board
These individuals constitute the governing board for Climb Beyond the Barrier Inc. They adhere to a stringent code of conduct, ensuring the organization's alignment with its mission.
Jason Traylor (He/Him) - President
Jason has been an enthusiastic climber since early 2013, with over a decade of experience in and out of the climbing gym industry. A graduate of the School of Music at Georgia State University, he embarked on community organizing in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, recognizing the necessity for an LGBTQ+ space within the climbing community in Atlanta. This initiative, Unharnessed Pride, was the pioneering program under Climb Beyond the Barrier’s umbrella. Serving as a sanctuary for individuals for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies, the club provides a secure and inclusive environment for collective climbing experiences.
Understanding the importance of inclusivity, Jason ensured that the club embraced all individuals, recognizing that building bridges is essential to connecting underrepresented communities with the majority. Through this club, Jason expanded his involvement in other community endeavors, all aimed at enhancing climbing accessibility for marginalized groups and fostering safe and inviting environments for their growth and flourishing.

Dr. Rachel Harmon (She/They) - Secretary
Rachel Harmon, a Visiting Assistant Professor in Political Science at Emory University, brings a wealth of experience to her role. With a background in community and nonprofit organizing, she founded and directs the EverWell International Scholarship, supporting survivors of human trafficking academically and financially. Additionally, Harmon contributes to developing programs for autistic students through the Georgia College Transition Partnership and teaches in an educational program for adults who are incarcerated. Her passion for climbing, coupled with her identity as an autistic queer person, has fueled her desire to foster community and inclusivity in the climbing world. Through her involvement with Climb Beyond the Barrier, Harmon aims to expand access to climbing for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Chelsea Robinson (She/Her) - Director of Branding and Graphics
Climbing has been a constant in my life since high school, and I believe everyone deserves access to the outdoors and a sense of belonging within it.
Growing up as a woman and being half Cuban, I often felt like a minority in the climbing world. Those experiences shaped how I see the importance of representation, access, and inclusive community in outdoor spaces.
The outdoors has always been where I feel most grounded, challenged, and connected. Through Climb Beyond the Barrier, I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back—helping create pathways for others to discover the confidence, strength, and joy that climbing has given me.

Priya Pradhan (She/Her) - Director of Social Media and Marketing
Priya discovered climbing in 2021 through a rock climbing class during college and was immediately hooked. Since then, she has developed a love for roped climbing and outdoor adventures, always seeking spots where a good climb can be paired with scenic views and a snack break.
Originally from Nepal, Priya has an innate love for mountains. Currently serving as a marketing manager at CARE, a global poverty-fighting organization, she brings extensive experience in marketing, social media management, writing and editing, and partnership building to the board. Her professional background in international development has strengthened her commitment to storytelling and community-building as tools for creating positive change.
As the director of Social Media and Marketing, Priya is excited to amplify Climb Beyond the Barrier's mission through strategic digital storytelling, ensuring diverse voices reach wider audiences and connecting more people with accessible climbing opportunities.

Unharnessed Pride ATL
Quinn Foster (They/Them)
I’m Quinn. A few quick facts about me: I’m an ATL-native, a big reader, and an even bigger lover of camping. I’ve been climbing for about eight years at what is now lovingly referred to as “CRAG” (Central Rock Atlanta Gym), but in my heart it’ll always be good ol’ Stone Summit. I am stoked to support Unharnessed Pride as a new ambassador not only because I get to support the amazing work this organization has already started, but also because I personally know the value and magic that comes from inclusive climbing spaces. Looking forward to seeing you at the gym!

I’m very excited to be an UP ambassador and can’t wait to talk to everyone. I started climbing 10 years ago at my college climbing wall and found a wonderfully supportive and fun community. Now I want to pay it forward and help this queer climbing community to be the best it can be. I’m a nerd, a foodie, and a climber, so I’m just as excited to chat about your project or your favorite hole-in-the-wall. I can’t wait to meet you all at the wall!

Audrey Brasuell (She/Her)
I’m excited to be an UP ambassador because it combines two of my favorite things: climbing and being gay. I’ve been climbing for a decade with a preference in lead climbing. For me there is nothing quite like the satisfaction of solving the puzzle of a new route that I have been working on; it’s a great way to be in my body and also get the dopamine rush of problem solving. Despite numerous injuries over the years, I always find myself drawn back to the wall. I’m looking forward to making new climbing friends and building new belationships through these events.

Khiem Hoang (They/Them)
I am so excited to be an Unharnessed Pride ambassador! The first thing I did when I moved to Atlanta 3 years ago was find a queer climbing meet up. When I showed up to the Overlook, Jason was the first person to greet me and made me feel welcomed and the rest is history. I hope to be able to bring queer climbers together and continue to build on the wonderful community we have. Can't wait to cheer y'all on on the wall!

I am excited to be an ambassador for Unharnessed Pride! When the chance to give back to the community that has given me so much over the past 3 years, I jumped at it. I hope to continue the inviting environment that helps foster friendship, community, and even facilitates a meet-cute. Also climbing is fun.

I’m an outdoor educator turned nursing student who’s passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to challenge themselves. After ten years working across the Southeast as a backpacking, canoe, and climbing instructor, I’m excited to call Atlanta home and continue building community here. I’m stoked to be an ambassador for Unharnessed Pride and to support their work creating intentional affinity spaces within the climbing world and beyond. Hope to meet y’all soon <3

Anna Justice (She/Her)
Anna has lived in Atlanta for 3 years and has been climbing off and on for ~5 years! Anna is most excited about being an Ambassador because she gets to help build a community hub for BIPOC climbers - a space that is much needed. She believes climbing should always be inclusive and accessible, safe and encouraging, and most importantly, fun!”
Find Anna at our CRG ATL meetup every 3rd Thursday!”

BOuLDER in Color ATL
Adaobi Ok (She/Her)
Climbing for 10 years and a member of the Overlook since 2020, Adaobi has always loved bringing new faces into climbing. As a community builder through her work as founder of Deep Roots Co-op, being an ambassador allows her to support others as they grow—physically, mentally, and collectively.
She’s excited to bridge climbing and community at the Overlook every first Monday of the month.

Rachel Burdge (She/Her)
Hi! I've been climbing on and off since 2021. I'm so excited to be a Boulder in Color ambassador because sometimes getting into climbing can seem intimidating, and it's important to create safe spaces for our community to make sure each and every climber feels welcome. I love all types of climbing and you can catch me at The Overlook meetup on the first Monday of every month!

BOuLDER in Color ATL
Quinton Legare (He/Him)
I work in the climbing industry and building community is something I’m extremely passionate about. I’ve been operating my hiking business, @hikewithbanji, with the mission to diversify the outdoors for the last 3 years. I feel the same passion for diversifying the climbing industry. You can find me on the 1st Monday of the month at the Overlook!

Kenny Fullard (He/Him)
I’ve been climbing since 2022, and I’ve always stuck out at gyms and bouldering areas, but that’s part of why Boulder in Color is so important to me. I’ve got a lot of hobbies, but climbing is hands down my favorite. I love the energy, the community, and just pushing myself and others on the wall. As an ambassador, I’m pumped to help make climbing spaces welcoming, fun, and full of good vibes for everyone.

Sage Cronen-Townsend (They/Them)
Hey! I use they/them pronouns, and climbing has been a part of my life for longer than I can remember. As a kid I just loved being outside (and having other people belay me), but as an adult I’ve come to appreciate the amount of problem solving and creativity that bouldering requires. I have experience teaching skiing, snowboarding, aerial silks, and climbing, and my favorite thing is bringing the sports I love to other people, regardless of experience or ability. I’m super excited to meet you all at the gym!

Jenni Poole (She/Her)
I’ve been climbing for 3 years now, thanks to my 2023 New Year’s resolution to get a hobby. I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, but have been a proud New Yorker for the past 10 years! I’m a dancer, choreographer, photographer, and climbing coach here at CRG. In my spare time, I’ve been training to run my first ever marathon this year. I’m a dog mom to a 7lb Chihuahua named Olive. I recently moved to Queens with my amazing partner, Courtney, who is also on team CRG!

Unharnessed Pride NY
Johnny Vu (He/Him)
I’ve been climbing for over 10 years, spending most of my time falling over and over on crash pads, but sometimes you’ll catch me on a rope though :) Climbing has been a big part of my life, and has given me an excuse to go on some amazing adventures like deep-water soloing in Mallorca, bouldering amongst the big redwoods in Squamish, partying it up with other other queer friends at Queerclimbtastic in the New River Gorge and at so many other amazing places across the country. Feel free to talk to me about how to get into outdoor climbing!

Josh Hodges (He/Him)
Howdy ho climberinos. I’ve been hosting queer climbing events here in NYC for seven years. The community aspect of climbing has been what has kept me engaged in the sport for roughly a decade. Not only has it allowed me to forge many friendships but I also met my partner at a Queer Climb Night in 2021! When I’m not climbing, coaching, or hosting events, I am playing my bassoon and/or contrabassoon in nearby concert halls, ballet and opera pits, or at home with my cat Duke. Oh and if you like Magic the Gathering please, let’s connect!

BOuLDER in Color NY
Ady Wright (She/Her)
I'm a Bronx, NY native who's been climbing since 2013. It started out as a hobby in between my pre-veterinary studies and internships, but I got so hooked that I started working at my first gym part time and spent ALL of my free time in our tiny community. I've competed, coached teams and individuals of all ages, taught clinics outdoors and indoors, gained some climbing sponsorships, and eventually got into routesetting. In all my years in this industry, what brings me back is always community and providing opportunity for others in affinity spaces. I'm excited to be a Climb Beyond the Barrier ambassador because though I have limited free time, I can still help make folks feel welcome and create a safe space for us.
