The Alabama Potluck
A grassroots climbing festival about bringing communities that face barriers to climbing together.
Welcome to The Alabama Potluck! This unique grassroots climbing festival is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, particularly in the Deep South. Our goal is to unite communities facing barriers to climbing and foster connections among them. These communities include but not limited to BIPOC, adaptive, women, LGBTQ+, sober, plus size, and individuals facing mental health issues. We also partner with Catalyst Sports to insure the most accessible event and provide accommodations where needed. Join us at Sandrock (Cherokee Rock Village) from April 24th to April 26th, with April 25th featuring a day filled with accessible sessions and clinics led by community leaders. Our programming includes artisan workshops, technical climbing skills, and group climbing activities. In addition to these activities, we have planned other exciting events such as a campfire potluck, fun mixer, etc.
