A BIPOC climbing meet up in Atlanta, GA

An inclusive climbing meet-up in Atlanta specifically catered to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) individuals emerged in the vibrant community landscape in the spring of 2024. Recognizing a notable absence of BIPOC-centered climbing events in Atlanta, this initiative was born out of the desire to create a welcoming and supportive space for climbers from diverse backgrounds.

Our monthly gatherings, held on the 1st Monday of each month at The Overlook Boulder and Fitness, and on the 4th Monday at Central Rock Gym Atlanta location, serve as focal points for connection, empowerment, and shared passion for climbing. These meet-ups provide opportunities for climbers to come together, forge friendships, and challenge themselves on the wall in an environment that prioritizes inclusivity and representation.

In addition to our indoor gatherings, the group also organizes outdoor meet-ups, allowing participants to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of outdoor climbing spots in the Atlanta area. Furthermore, we host social outings, fostering a sense of community beyond the climbing walls.

Join us as we elevate diversity and representation in the climbing community, one ascent at a time, and embark on a journey of connection, empowerment, and collective growth.
